Login & Platform Help
Having trouble logging in? Most login issues happen because different credentials are used for different parts of your account. Here’s how it works and how to fix common problems quickly.
There are two different logins
Client area login
Your Client Area login is used to manage your account.
What it's used for:
- ✓Logging into the TIOmarkets website
- ✓Managing your profile and personal details
- ✓Uploading verification documents
- ✓Opening and managing trading accounts
- ✓Depositing, transferring funds between accounts and withdrawals
How you login:
- ✓Use your registered email address or client ID
- ✓Use the password you created during registration
Password reset:
- ✓Click on the “Forgot your password” link on the login page
Trading account login (MT4 / MT5)
Your trading account login is used only to access the trading platform. These details are system generated and sent to you by email when you open a trading account in the Client Area.
What it's used for:
- ✓Logging into the MT4 or MT5 trading platforms
- ✓Viewing charts and prices
- ✓Placing orders and managing trades
How you login:
- ✓Trading account number
- ✓Trading account password
- ✓Connecting to the correct server (important)
Password reset:
- ✓Reset from the Trading Account Settings inside the Client Area
Login credentials are not interchangeable. Do not share your passwords with anyone.
Common login issues & quick fixes
If you’re seeing an “invalid account” or “authorization failed” message, double check which login credentials you’re using.
Common issues:
- ✓Using Client Area credentials on MT4 or MT5
- ✓Entering the wrong trading password
- ✓Selecting the wrong trading server
- ✓Passwords are case-sensitive
- ✓Extra spaces copied when pasting the password
How to fix it:
Enter the password exactly as shown, select the correct trading server and make sure no extra spaces are included before or after the password. Even a single extra space will cause the login to fail.
No connection in MT4 or MT5
This may happen if:
- ✓Your internet connection is disconnected or the signal is weak
- ✓The wrong trading server is selected
- ✓The platform needs restarting
How to fix it:
Restart the platform and reselect the correct server.
I can login but can’t trade
If you’re logged in successfully but can’t place trades, this is usually not a login issue.

- ✓Support will ask for your email, client ID, or trading account number to locate your account or for verification purposes
- ✓Only communicate your account details with us through official channels
